Collection: Château Villain Olive Oil

Chateauvillain is a small hill that has existed since the Stone Age.

People have lived here since ancient times, and it is said that wine was traded here during the Phoenician period.

About 55 years ago , Robert and Noel planted vines and olive trees at the foot of Chateau Villain.

By planting these trees little by little, they have transformed this historic site into an even more beautiful landscape.

Together with his son Pascal, Robert soon began growing grapes and producing excellent wines.

In 1996 , his daughter Christine joined them and, with Robert's help, she began making olive oil in earnest.

It was around this time that Christine and I met.

I remember being very attracted to Christine's passion for olive oil.

At Chateau Villain, we pay careful attention to the cultivation method of olives and the production method of olive oil.

We produce delicate and aromatic olive oil.

The olive oil produced here has won numerous medals in competitions both in France and abroad and is highly regarded.

In order to make the most of this wonderful olive oil, Christine focused on the olive oil's aroma and flavor and expressed it in a wine-like way.

Olive oil has its own unique characteristics depending on the variety, production method, and climate.

Just like wine, if you cook with olive oil, it will create a wonderful dish.

Her efforts have been highly recognized in the world of French gastronomy, and she was awarded the Legion of Honor in 2016 .

Now let us introduce you to three unique types of olive oil that Christine has created .

These three types of olive oil are made from olives picked when the fruit is still green around October .
