This is a 17cm plate from the "Everyday Utensils" series by ceramic artist Takashi Nakazato.
These beautiful, clean-looking white porcelain plates are a convenient size. They are the most commonly used small plates in the home, and are made in the traditional 15-16cm size. They are ideal as individual plates for serving individual portions of sashimi, side dishes, and other dishes, as well as for portioning food.
While carrying on the traditions of Karatsu ware, the simple and beautiful design fits in with modern life. The gentle color of the white porcelain beautifully enhances any dish.
